Washing Instructions

Overview of the most important care information

Cotton, polyester, viscose… every type of fabric has its own washing and care requirements . The symbols printed on the label attached to a T-shirt, pullover or jacket, etc. tell you its permitted washing temperature, among other things. To enable you to give your customers the right advice, it is very helpful to know the meanings of all of these care symbols.

However, please note that laundry symbols on garments do not apply to textiles to which an additional finish has been applied . This means that as soon as a garment has been printed on or embroidered, it is subject to different washing, drying and ironing instructions.

Washing Instructions: correct care of embroidered textiles

Protecting the embroidery:

Make sure that you do not put embroidered textiles in a washing machine together with textiles that have zip fasteners, eyelets or rivets, as these can damage the embroidery during washing.

Gentle wash:

To ensure the best treatment of your textiles, wash them with a colour detergent.

Preserve colours:

Do not use a brightener, a washing detergent containing bleach, or a fabric softener, as these can damage the finish of the garments.

Pay attention to laundry symbols

Adhere to the instructions associated with the laundry symbols shown on the label.

Washing instructions: correct care of printed textiles

Gentle wash:

Printed textiles should be washed at a maximum of 30 degrees using a mild detergent (with no fabric softener) with the washing machine set to a gentle cycle. This applies whatever laundry symbols are shown on the label. Also be sure to turn garments inside out before washing.

Wait a while before washing printed garments

Textiles should not be washed too soon after printing. For normal prints, you should wait at least 24 hours before washing garments. However, with flock prints, it is necessary to wait at least ten days before laundering.

Turn inside out before ironing:

Textiles should be turned inside out before ironing to make sure that the iron does not come into direct contact with the print.

Handle with care:

Printed textiles should not be dried in a rotary iron or tumble dryer.

Never do the following:

To protect the print finish, never soak, brush, wring or scratch the garment. Also, never use any chemical agents.
